Terms of service
The commercial terms in plain language. This page is a starting point and should be reviewed by your own counsel before launch.
The service
We design, build, host and maintain a website for your business, including up to 7 standard content pages and standard online commerce functionality as described on our What's Included page.
Fees and commitment
You pay a one-time setup fee and a recurring monthly subscription of $35 on a 1-year commitment, $30 on 2 years, or $25 on 3 or more years. Your monthly price, setup fee and platform transaction rate are determined by the commitment length you select at signup. The monthly subscription continues after the commitment term ends unless cancelled.
Signed agreement
Every purchase is covered by a Hosting & Services Agreement that you sign electronically at checkout by typing your full legal name. We record the exact agreement text, your signature, the date and time, your IP address and browser, and keep a copy in your dashboard. Automatic renewal
When your commitment term ends, your plan automatically continues month to month at the same service level, at either your existing rate or our then-current published rate for that service level. We communicate any rate change before it takes effect. You may end the month-to-month period at any time after the initial term by giving written notice before your next billing date.
Payment method on file
You must keep a valid payment method on file for the entire term. Removing your card, letting it expire, disputing a scheduled charge, or allowing a payment to fail does not end the agreement and does not reduce what you owe.
Ending early (buyout)
You may end your agreement before the term ends only by paying the remaining monthly charges for the balance of the term in a single payment. Your dashboard shows the exact amount and lets you pay it; once paid, your subscription is cancelled and no further monthly charges are made. Setup fees, domain costs and transaction fees already charged are not refunded.
Non-payment and legal costs
If any amount owed, including a buyout or a past-due balance, is not paid within ninety (90) days of receiving written notice from Rocket Website Designs LLC, you agree to pay double the final amount owed. If collection requires legal action, you agree to be responsible for any and all legal costs Rocket Website Designs LLC incurs in seeking a court-ordered resolution, including attorney fees and court costs.
Hardship and discretionary reductions
Rocket Website Designs LLC has the right, but not the requirement, to reduce, restructure or waive amounts contractually owed in situations of genuine hardship or business closure. Any such reduction is at our sole discretion, decided case by case, must be in writing to be effective, and sets no precedent for future requests or for other customers.
Setup fee and build credits
Your setup fee buys the Lovable AI credits used to design and build your site, and is a starting estimate — a down payment, not a fixed cap. Lovable AI credits are 50 for $15, and most sites take roughly 200–350 credits to launch. The more pages, content, and refinements you want, the more credits the build uses, so the actual setup cost can run above the initial fee. Complex or in-depth builds — more pages, custom systems, or heavy refinement — will require additional startup fees. If that applies to your project, we will provide an estimate of the credits needed before any extra charge.
How your site is built and tested
Our websites and software systems are built with AI-assisted technology under human direction. Our team organizes the work, reviews the implementation, tests important actions, and fixes issues found during final review or after launch. You participate in final acceptance testing for pages, forms, payments, bookings and connected systems before launch. AI accelerates production but does not replace human oversight or your final approval.
Email sending add-on
The email sending add-on requires a business email address on your own domain. Free Gmail, Yahoo or Outlook addresses cannot be used. The add-on is capped at 50 automated sends per day, and Rocket recommends staying at or below 35 to reduce deliverability risk. Rocket does not monitor sending volume and does not guarantee recovery of a domain that is flagged or blocklisted. Higher-volume campaigns require a dedicated email marketing provider.
Portals, storage and build credits
The admin portal and staff portal are included with every plan. Complex or unusually large portal builds may require additional Lovable credit purchases, which are passed through at cost from the platform with notice before any charge. Portals include a generous amount of storage and data for typical business use; if your stored files and data grow well beyond typical use, resulting additional hosting, database or storage costs are passed through at cost, without markup, and we will always tell you before any charge is added.
Platform transaction fee
Online payments processed through systems we build carry the 2.00%, 1.75% or 1.50% platform fee tied to your commitment. Physical in-person payments processed through a POS system we build and connect carry a separate flat 0.50% platform fee, regardless of commitment. Neither fee applies to cash, checks, a POS we did not build, readers on an unrelated Stripe account, or transactions entered into unrelated software. Platform fees are collected through Stripe and are in addition to Stripe's processing fees.
Refunds and our fee
If you refund one of your customers, the refunded amount comes from your Stripe balance. Our platform transaction fee on that transaction is non-refundable, the same way Stripe's processing fee is non-refundable. Disputes and chargebacks, including any fees charged by Stripe, are your responsibility.
Payments and Stripe
Online payments require a connected Stripe account. You must accept Stripe's Connected Account Agreement and complete Stripe's verification. Payment method availability, including Affirm and Afterpay, is determined by Stripe and is not guaranteed.
Scope of work
Reasonable minor content updates are included. Additional pages, major redesigns, custom software, complex integrations, large data migrations, marketplace development, advanced CRM or ERP work, highly customized scheduling, large product catalogs, major SEO campaigns and large copywriting projects require a separate quote.
Your content
You own the content, images and branding you provide, and you confirm you have the right to use them. You grant us the license needed to build, host and maintain your website.
Domains
Where we register a domain on your behalf, the expected cost is $20 per year and it is registered for use with your website for the duration of your subscription. Domain availability is not guaranteed; if none of the names you provide are available, we will ask you for additional options.
Price changes
Prices are subject to change if Lovable AI, Stripe, domain, or other required provider pricing models change. We will communicate applicable changes before they take effect. Stripe processing rates remain separate and may vary by payment method, account and location.
Cancellation
You may cancel at the end of your commitment term. Early cancellation terms are disclosed at checkout before any payment is taken. Setup fees are non-refundable once work has begun.
Availability and liability
We work to keep your website available and secure, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Our liability is limited to the fees you have paid us in the preceding twelve months.
Third-party services
Your website and connected systems run on third-party platforms we do not own or control — including Lovable AI (build tools, hosting and infrastructure) and Stripe (payment processing and payouts), plus any registrar, email, scheduling or other connected service. Outages, errors, delays, data issues, rate changes, account or payout decisions, and changes or discontinuation of service by these third parties are outside the control of Rocket Website Designs LLC, and we are not liable for losses, lost revenue or damages arising from them. We will act as your first point of contact and work with you to diagnose problems and pursue fixes with the provider, but we do not guarantee third-party uptime or outcomes. Use of those platforms may be subject to their own terms and fees, which may change independently of ours.
